Noel Fitzpatrick was born in Cork, in the south of Ireland. He graduated with a degree in Commerce (Marketing and Management) and a postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science, from University College, Cork (UCC). Noel’s career began in UCC where he gave classes in popular desktop software to students and staff alike. Given his love of teaching and his computer background it was no surprise then to see Noel moving into the world of technical support. He worked in the computer bureau in UCC for a short period before moving to a similar role in the IT Helpdesk in Trinity College, Dublin. After 10 years in Dublin, Noel decided that a change was as good as a rest and swapped the stress and strain of Dublin for the chaos and beauty of Bogota! In Colombia, Noel went back to his first love, teaching...but this time, English, and in particular, Business English. Noel taught in a number of high-profile companies and institutions in Colombia. After 8 years in South America, he was again bitten by the travel bug and headed back to Europe, this time with a family in tow. After a brief stopover in Berlin, they settled in sunny Valencia where Noel currently teaches English in Universidad Cardenal Herrera (CEU). When not teaching English, Noel is most likely to be found in the nearest park playing football with his kids!
